Use Aubrey in a group chat

Use this when you want Aubrey to work inside a Telegram or WhatsApp group.

Connect a group

  1. Open the agent workspace.
  2. Open Channels.
  3. Find the Telegram or WhatsApp section.
  4. Choose the group connection option when it is available.
  5. Copy the setup command Aubrey shows.
  6. Post that command in the target group before it expires.
After setup finishes, the group appears in Channels as a connected group.

Switch or add agents in a group

Some groups can have more than one linked agent. In a connected group:
  • Send /agents to list linked agents.
  • A thread manager can send /agent switch <agent> to change the active agent.
  • A thread manager can send /agent add <agent> or /agent remove <agent> to change which agents are available.
  • Any participant can send @<agent> <message> to talk to one linked agent for that message.

Control what the group can use

Open the connected group in Channels to review participant access. The owner can enable extra access such as:
  • Selected Google Sheets
  • Selected Google Docs
  • Connected app actions
  • Owner Gmail
  • Owner Google Calendar
If a group needs Airtable, Notion, or another approved app, enable Connected app actions for that group first.

Tips

Tell people in the group to address Aubrey directly. For example, say Aubrey, add this to the checklist instead of relying on general group chatter. If a group member asks for something Aubrey cannot access yet, the owner should update that group’s access settings in Channels.
